I think a lined modified type3 would be pretty cool but now i'm starting to think unlined is preferable since you can just throw a uhf underneath. I'm trying to be practical about this approach since most of us own uhf's and that uhf's are already incredibly warm. would wearing a uhf lined jacket over a uhf flannel be overkill? It would look awesome but is it necessary? I could get away with it since I live in a cold state, but there are quite a few of you that probably wouldn't get to wear such a thing unless you're just wearing a tee underneath.

I realy, really hope for a Remake of the cargo Pants, no matter wether 12 or 23 oz. I'd love to see a slightly smaller leg opening too, let's say 8,5" at waist 36. Please make it happen, I'll buy all colours 😃

I second the "smaller leg opening" sentiment. I love my cargos, but the cuffs are just sooooo wide. Doesn't stop me from wearing, and won't stop me from buying another pair in the future (If the right fabric comes along), but a bit smaller would be better

That was my issue with them as well. I even imported a pair from Japan but had to find out, that the fit was perfection from waist to knee, but got to wide from knee to hem. 😞

I sold them because of that issue.

I would definitely be happier with IH cargoes if they had a taper.

i'm not a cargo pants guy but would definitely consider a pair if they had a taper. the pics @Cole posted look bell-bottomish

I’m not a default traditionalist and in fact I quite like it when people cleverly subvert classic designs, but cargoes are so not meant to be tapered.

But why? You can still fit boots under an 8.5” hem.

when I look at the IH-718 the hem on a size 33 comes to 8.9. I'm about as average sized as they get but an 8.9 hem on my frame would be huge. An 8" or 8.5" hem would look more appropriate – it's still relaxed but the taper isn't overly aggressive.

This is what i meant. I dont want a heavily tapered pair, but the old models swamped me. Almost 10" leg opening on a 36 is too much and is also prone to damage as the hems rub against each other. I think a bit slimmer cut throughout the whole leg would do the trick.

How about some friction belts? Design or find some removable, over-engineered hardware and sell a series of denim straps to go with it (IND, IND wabash, BLK wabash, etc).
