This is tempting me to consider two (khaki is a must, chocolate would be nice).
My thoughts exactly, khaki is happening for sure and chocolate will make me consider coming back for more…

yep. seems like black has the least response with khaki and brown having the most. for khaki and brown i'd think 1 xs, 3 small, 6 med, 10 lg, 12 xl, 12 xxl and 6 xxxl would be safe. But, we all know Giles has to order these months in advance and that it's quite expensive.

That seems a little risky given how poorly they moved last time. From a business perspective I imagine the sweet spot is moving all inventory with continued demand. Unfortunately that means some people miss out. This is terrifying to me because I really want one, but if it sells well it may end up extant.

no doubt. I know Giles has talked about some of the unsold inventory that sits on the shelves, so it makes complete business sense to err on the side of caution and order lower numbers so he's not accumulating more inventory. I'm just surprised, given the positive response in this thread, how many people want one.

After all my years on this forum, I've come to the conclusion that anticipatory excitement has virtually no correlation to sales.
I would not be surprised if most of these ended up in the clearance bin. Nor would I be surprised if they all sold out in the first 24 hours…

I agree with @gaseousclay and @DrBabyhorse . Given the history of corduroy, I would hate for this to be the final nail in the coffin forever. Plus, who knows what will happen in terms of demand once the measurements are posted…remember the Kanreki and all the demand and "forms filled" and after the measurements were posted, they did not move like the previous interest seemed to indicate they would.
I think if they sell out this time around, it will spawn an extant status and/or other colorways...remember what happened with the 180 and how there are the prospects of some really awesome colorways coming next fall?
Either way, has to be a tricky tightrope to walk for G and the crew in terms of ordering in advance...

Yep. It's easier for us to ask why there isn't more inventory because it's not our money at risk. Giles has to gauge demand, order months in advance and take a financial risk (despite the enthusiasm) which i'm sure is no easy feat. Makes me think of the ihj-61 which got positive responses but hasn't sold out.
