The 888 Fatboy Chocolate World Tour

Thanks everyone, I'm just trying to live up to the previous leg.
Started the day off walking the dog.
Don't mind the Birks as I only wear them to take her outside.
Fit pic of the jeans, they are a more little snug in the thighs than I typically prefer but I don't mind.
This is my first time actually wearing the 21 oz. denim and I like how comfy it is.
Had a second phone interview before work to try and land a better job, hopefully I hear back some good news soon.
Had my afternoon coffee which sadly isn't that great, but I get it for free since I know the people who work there. I've been at my current job so long that they know my order and just give me free coffee every day.
Got home and Olive was so happy that she turned into a parrot.
This evening I went with my girlfriend to her Spanish class at the local church, I'm not religious at all but I'm not one to turn down free food and good company. This was the last class so they had a feast of food from different central and south American countries made by volunteers in the community who organized the class. So authentic home cooking! It was a very nice gesture and the food was delicious.
My plate got a little full but you get the idea.
Until tomorrow! -
Loved the update!

Can't beat some home cooking, great update again.

You call that full? Considering how good the food looks, I would consider that politely restrained.

Man, this thread is off to such good touring. Huzzah!

Here's an update from yesterday and today.
Random shot on my way to work, I like this ally for some reason. Testing the lighting with my new phone too.
Got home after work, opened a beer and then sadly watched Kentucky lose to Kansas in an early college basketball game.
On to today, taking my coffee break from work. Roping is starting to come along, I've been wearing the tour jeans with my new Red Wing 9874s.
Later my girlfriend made me go with her while she had an eye exam where I promptly sat and took a picture of my crotch.(jeans look really tight here, but I think it was just the way I was sitting)
For dinner we went to Rudy's BBQ. Now I know what you're thinking, you live in Austin TX and you go to a chain barbecue spot? I know, but I'll say that Rudy's isn't half bad for what it is and a lot of local barbecue spots are only open in the afternoon until they are sold out. So we had to settle since it was dinner time. I promise I'll get some better 'cue this month and post photos.
Came out a bit blurry.
Half pound of cutter's choice brisket.
Ribs.
Jalapeno sausage.
And what's dinner at Rudy's without banana pudding?
That's all I got today, I'll photograph the jeans tomorrow and think of something fun to do on my day off! -
Great update! I miss Texas and the brisket already!
Had to hit up a final brisket spot before I left last weekend. nowhere near as good as Terry Blacks, but the bone in pork belly was good

I tried Lone Star for the first time last week. It didn't/ did disappoint ???
Another great update @Broark, where I come from BBQ means rocking up to a mates house with 24 cans of Fosters and a box of frozen burgers

Bottle of Lone Star really ties that pic together
I can’t buy it in Alabama, so “when in Texas” right? Haha

Haha Lone Star is nostalgic for me, and usually only drink it at bars in texas while I’m there.
I unapologetically keep either PBR or High Life as my cheap beer around the house since, and lone star is a Pabst product so I’m guessing it’s pretty much the same recipe as PBR.. I’ve always thought the two were related at least.

Meant to post these pictures from yesterday last night, but wasn't feeling great.
Started my day off with some coffee and hanging out with Olive on the balcony.
Shout out to @sir_longshanks for the mug.
Olive looking out over her domain.
Went to run some errands, then grabbed a couple tacos at what I think is the best taco truck in Austin. It's called El Primo and it's just one dude slanging tacos. Cash only, no receipts, friendly service, the way it should be. He's been doing this for years (no idea how long, but I've been visiting for maybe 5 years now?) and it's always just been him cooking things up. Super friendly guy, he even remembers your order if you come around enough. In a time where things are changing drastically in the city it's refreshing to see someone stay true to what they love doing, even if it's as simple as a taco truck.
One pastor and one barbacoa is my go to.
Next up I swung by my local beer shop. It's a bit of a diamond in the rough, on the outside it looks like a normal convenience store / gas station but they get some good beer and they don't jack the prices up like some other shops. Sadly they hadn't received the beer I was on the hunt for, so I'll probably check back today.
Came home and took some photos of the jeans, I'm wearing them with my Tender Co. belt.
Ended the day with a nap in the jeans, Olive has taken a liking to them as have I.
