@Finshack and @Max Power, thank you guys!

Yes Max, this are the Tre Cime in the Dolomites, this picture was made on the same tour like the pictures I postet before (Page 105). The Dolomites are my favourite place to go, at least from dose places within my reach, just love them!

@marlin - Those shots are awesome. I've done enough photo to know how much accumulated work needs to be done before pulling something like those. Well done.

@Matty123 - There are lots of good cameras available these days. You need to boil down the ocean between SLRs, mirrorless, and others, and then see what's available for your price range. You can get deals on refurbished cameras from the OEM, or buy a used camera from an established dealer like B&H in NY. Lenses are as important as the camera and can be a lot more expensive. IMHO, wildlife photo is about the hardest thing an amateur photographer can pursue and it requires some of the most expensive lenses. My recommendation would be a full frame SLR and a single fast prime lens, maybe 50mm, and focus on learning to take pics with available light. As a side note, I found the book "Understanding Exposure" super useful.

I picked this up today for £75.00 with a spare battery, which I thought wasn't a bad deal.

some of my expired rolls became 'too expired'. absolutely gutted.. especially when i was expecting their glorified beauty of crossprocessed in europe.  😞

they're hard almost impossible to find nowadays. i got them 4/5 years ago and i stopped shooting for a few years.

one roll was the old Fuji T64 Tungsten and the other was an old Agfa (not the new Agfaphoto) Ct Precisa.

@louisbosco how old was that film? I'm always impressed when getting any images from expired film, always a gamble.

There’s not very much to choose from in this category. The only other camera that I thought might be comparable is the Nikon Coolpix W300. They both seem really good.

My photography took a long freeze; not sure why…interest just waned. My last camera was film; a Nikon F6. Didn't get much use before I stopped altogether. The difficulty of getting slide film processed was a big factor I guess, and laziness probably added the rest

I've been working up my interest in picking it up again and I've been doing some light research on digital SLRs. I probably need to stick to a Nikon body, as all my lenses (24mm, 50 mm, 105 mm and 600 mm) are Nikon. I mostly enjoy bird photography; followed by sports (tennis and motorcycle races), and lately cattle too. The cattle bit is work related as we sell bulls as sires. The cattle photos are probably the only ones which may be used for promotional/marketing material; the birds and sports are exclusively personal enjoyment.

Anyhow, with that brief intro to give a sense of my needs, I was hoping to get some recommendations on which SLR bodies people thought I should consider. Initially, noting I am a newbie to digital photography, I was considering the Nikon D500, D750 and D810 bodies. Thanks for all input!

                                        The journey is the objective.

@moto this current bunch i bought might be roughly somewhere between 2011-13 i think. the film was already expired at that time. my guess would be 1-2 years expired.

so i've only started using them again this year because i stopped shooting film for some time. the agfachrome ct precisa was my favourite when cross processed and i know i had kept a couple lying around somewhere. they're impossible to find now and i never liked the new agfaphoto ct precisa colour. to show you what it should turn out back in the day, this is what it should look like.

                                          shot with canon av-1

another earlier bunch in 09 in HK
