Got this beaut today. The fabric is awesome. Bit lighter and will be great over UHF's.

Regarding fit, feels maybe a little long on me. Thoughts?

Also - Does anyone with ripstop fabric experience know whether a hot machine wash and/or dry would shrink this fabric a bit?

Looks good, great colour on you! It's long, but not too long, and if you're planning on layering it over other items then it won't even be that.

Shirt length has been on my mind recently, and I’ve come to the conclusion that long ain’t a problem if the body fits right. Yours does.

I agree. I have wider shoulders and shorter legs but I'd ultimately rather have a shirt fit me right in the shoulders / body than anything else.

This fabric is really cool. I may give it a soak and see how it reacts. Then I can always move on to a hot wash and a potential machine dry as necessary.

From experience, when an IH product page says "One-washed, so no (or minimal) further shrinkage to be expected" it's normally about right. I suspect the only way you'll get any meaningful shrinkage is by blasting the thing on 90C with a spin to boot. My advice would be try it on a 60C wash with a machine dry first.

@celik when I got my olive 163 I waited about 12hrs before ordering its grey brother and I've never regretted it. I still go back to check on the charcoal one now and again, but who needs three wool shirts? My point is this, there are people who have like 20 UHF's, so if you find a fabric/cut combo that works great for you, like the 163 does for me, then why not?

@celik - that is a Perfect fit there buddy - if the khaki seems to measure up the same, my suggestion would be to grab it as well - it’s like H-San sewed these up just for you!
