The stretch denim is amazing.  It uses the same warp as the 21oz selvedge denim and a weft that is very similar, but a shade lighter.  The end result is a denim that weighs about 19.5oz and looks (on the face) almost exactly the same as our 21oz indigo selvedge denim.

Yep, there is a small amount of lycra spun into the weft yarns

Will there be a new "skinnier" cut to maximize this denim?

I really need to get Maddy in some IH, and get stipulations were "stretch" and "skinny/sex

So, here is the gig with the stretch denim.  We are starting a new brand/business, working name - Iron Heart Racing.  It will be aimed at the new generation of sportier Harley (and of course, other) riders.  It will launch some time H1 2018.  It will be a Joint Venture between IHJP and IHUK and HQ'd somewhere approx equidistant between Japan and UK  :-X.  This denim and other amazing new fabrics will initially be used in the new range….

Paula, Haraki and I started talking about this 6 months ago, when H was in the UK for my Kanreki, we moved discussions forward, Alex, Haraki and I fleshed it out today...

Awesome news about IH Racing. Can't wait to see what y'all come up with. As for the stretch denim, I'm through the roof. Eagerly awaiting the new cut, too. I'm skeptical of "women's" cuts, for the most part, as they are almost never available in my size, or inseam, but a big western girl can dream.

Hey, @Giles , a heavy weight Stretch denim but with old school look and fit will be really amazing. I did suggest something like that a few months back. I am sure you will be making slim and skinny fits with that kind of cloth, but if are making straight fits like 634 or beatle busters it will be really cool.

I am also hoping that the stretch factor would be just a little bit to make the denim even more comfortable but not too much.

Huh.  I wouldn't have expected Norilsk, Russia to be the ideal spot, but what do I know?
