Regarding the Hem width, I have just measured every single pair and updated the sizing chart with the average for each tag size. Overall they have gone down by either .1 or .2 of an inch but there is the usual variance so if you need something specific just add a note when checking out.
As a quick comparison here's how three tag sizes compare through the leg width. Two pairs of each tag size measured (stock allowing):
So a more noticeable difference in the tag40s but for each tag size the widest is in the GRYs. @Giles will communicate this to JPHQ to ensure this doesn't continue.

FWIW my Olives in tag size 34 have an 8.5" hem vs the 8.9" hem shown on the greys.

Copped a tag 35 and asked for the smallest hem. These will be worn regularly.

I love the diversity in taste because for me, I am all about the larger hem…part of the reason I can't rock the 666 cut...
Haha, I can't rock the 666 because the thigh is too tight but the rest of the measurements would theoretically work.

i thought IH & stubbornites were generally in favour of wider hems?
all this "hem-too-wide" talk is bugging me (says the newcomer to the haraki-san deities and the like…)
my wish list item is still navy/indigo whipcord 816s, a nice 11" rise like these greys (or even a tad more), and the hem at 8.5. i'd rotate those at work with my navy duck 816s and navy loggers. -
Grey whipcords are bad ass. Received mine today. Hem is wider than my Olive pair by about 1/4" but they should still work or I can always send them to Railcar. The 816 whipcord pants have been an awesome addition to the IH collection. Great alternative to denim. Please make the brown's again!!!! Or more colors…..navy, black, khaki, and oh...brown again.

Didn’t have time for pics, but these made their way to me today and I fecking love them.
I was a 36 in the olive, but picked up these in a 38 and noticed only minimal difference. Can’t wait to wear these out and about.
I agree with the sentiments regarding the 816s. They are a great cut and amazing fabric. Would love to see in a tan/dark khaki.

Mine arrived yesterday and I'm wearing them to work today. Extremely comfortable and a great fit through top block and thighs. Still wish the hem was a little smaller but will wear them for a while before deciding to do anything about it.
Great job on these IH crew! And I echo the sentiment on doing these in black!
