Lovely thanks.  I did 50:50 beetroot and potato. next time I think I'll do more like 40:60 and probably washed the grated potato to remove some of the starch.

Yea nice kitchen @Giles… we had an english carpenter making our kitchen. We even thought about an Aga but they are not suitable for the way we cook. Very happy with the Falcon.

We love it. Bought it from a major sale at our local hardware joint. The machining in the bottom of the skillet is awesome. It’s heat retention is awesome. It’s a pricy piece, but I really love the attention to details. We use it all the time. In fact, our set of copper core all-clad is getting dusty.

The thing that throws me off with Finex is the shape. I find round pans much more convenient. (I also found that the handle is a bit too fat for my small-ish hands). We just got a Field pan. It's amazing the difference with the cheapo Lodge cast iron (which I still use and like of course.)

I have hands like sides of beef, so no issue there for me….

The handles are big but given the weight of the grill pan I think they need to be, I generally use 2 hands when its hot. Had mine a while now and still very impressed with the way it works..
