How to make a Seul happy:

        • make a good beer
        • age it for 6 months in red wine barrels
        • thus making a good beer even better
        • but only charge 6.8€ for a 75cls bottle
        • and when it hits the stores, don't let them limit it /person (guy working said "Yeah just don't buy 50, y'know"… Had half a mind to buy 49...)

The Tilquin Pinot Noir was limited to 1/person (which I knew, but my dad doesn't like sour beers, so he always buys a 2nd bottle)... Also cheap imo at 14.7€/ bottle... I mean: if you know how this beer is made, it's a freakin miracle it doesn't cost 1,200 per bottle...

When I read the first line of that post I fully expected the words "hand", "kebab", "vegan" and "job" to follow. Although not in that order.

I recently posted about a stout aged in Jameson barrels. I just got an email stating that there will only be 400 500ML bottles available to the public. On Tuesday they will email a link that allows you to reserve 2 bottles for $22. All bottles must be picked up Oct 6-8,when I'll be in California. Calling tomorrow to beg them to hold 2 bottles until I get back. And you thought this only happened with IH shirts. Stay tuned.

                        These are from Friday night.
Prairie Imaginary Friends IPA. Cool to see Prairie canning beers now, very enjoyable IPA.

Deschutes Cultivateur saison. This was very tasty, but I really hate waxed bottles.  ::)

And these are what I drank last night.
Austin Beerworks Saccharification saison. This one is pretty cool because it was brewed exclusively for an event this weekend and it wasn't really meant to see distribution (the cans have no barcodes) so only a few shops around town got six packs.

Deschutes Black Butte XXVI. Super tasty, actually a bit sour which I found interesting. This was a lot to drink by myself after having three of those Austin Beerworks beers.  😃

Of course it costs twice as much as the Belgian quadrupels so........

Some great looking beers on the last few pages. Especially enjoyed your post @Broark .

Long time since the last time for this one. Finally coming in 330ml bottles up here in the sunny north.

Sure is.  Started as kind of an off shoot of Prairie, before becoming it's own thing.  Chase is making some great beer!

That’s right, but their releasing in some form of club format I don’t understand. So, McQ, you’re in the beer trade now, right? One of my best friends in the world is the head brewer at Anthem Ale Works, and he started with another good friend of mine who is the head brewer at Coop Ale Works, who took over for Chase when he left. Both Oklahoma breweries. Where are you at?
