    @mikebarhoot I'd say that purchase worked out pretty bloody well. They suit you, dude.

    +1, defo - you were 'em well @mikebarhoot

      @Jett129:

      They are the single most expensive article of clothing I've ever bought.

      Yup, true of my wardrobe as well.  I paid more for one pair of boots than I did for my first two cars.  Combined.

          Soaking in the inky blackness…  Definitely had to scrub the tub out after!

            Holy crap haha. My 16oz SBG didn't bleed off much black when I washed them a bit ago…..your 21 though! Must really hold in a lot more than the 16

              They're unwashed though so that will make a difference.

                  Bought a VS 777 from Vater und Sohn after the 555-03 i got of the Sale didn´t fit (because of my lack of measuering Skills not because of IH, Alex is an absolut Legend even when it comes to helping difficult Customers like myself). When the 36 Length is cut down to my stubby 30 i´ll post Fit Pics.

                      Can I ask what happens to the measurements after a shrinking wash. Obviously the waist stretches back, but are the other measurements also likely to loosen back a bit? In particular thigh, knee and hem..?

                        All dimensions will shrink proportionately to the waist and inseam: those that are put under pressure will have a tendency to stretch back out, those that aren’t will not

                          Thanks Giles. I'm sure at this stage you probably have a library that you can cut and paste answers from to these nooby questions. So, I might try another. Cold washing would minimise the shrinkage?

                          I'm wary of being too old for too skinny jeans, and am having trouble deciding on my next pair of jeans (black)..

                                And you do wear them well… Yours would be the look I'd like, but would just be afraid the legs would end up too tight..

                                      Wearing mine today…it takes time to get used to such heavy denim, but it'll serve me well in winter! I just wshed the backrise was 1" higher.

                                        I feel the same. Besides the backrise they are one of my best fitting pairs…
