Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
I've recently been thinking of posting thoughts for a blanket lined Type II as well. Well, modified - slightly longer to match an untucked shirt, trimmer through waist so as to be not boxy, front hand warmer pockets (hey, You put pockets on shirts), chest pockets placed higher so they're actually on the chest instead of the ribs, and interior pockets with some sort of secure closure, either zippered or snapped flap. Interior pockets should be independent of hand warmer pockets, as with Type III's. With that type of pocket it's most often one or the other - inside pocket or outside. Something inside one makes the other useless. Real, dedicated, functional interior pockets for phone, wallet, etc. The exterior chest pockets on Type III's are generally too small to be useful for many things.

I know it's ben asked a few times before, but I cannot remember what the reasons against were, Iron Heart vintage style jogging bottoms made from the same heavy cotton as the hoodies.

@mpukas If you google Wrangler 24MJZ Denim jacket and click on images, this might be something similar to what you're describing. Kind of like a Type II with the pleating, but pockets higher up,hand warmer pockets and had a zipper. Not blanket lined. I'd kill for one of those jackets, actually sent some pictures of one,I saw in a museum in Nashville, to Giles

@TrickHell:
Blanket lined Type II Jacket…. soooo coool
In the three years I've been on this forum I reckon blanket lined jackets and shackets are the one thing that has been asked for here the most, not least by myself on a number of occasions. I know there have been blanket lined type III's done before my time, but the only blanket lined kit I remember seeing was the tanker jacket, which, erm, tanked (although I picked one up on special and love it). It makes me wonder if and when a blanket lined jacket gets made how it will do..?
The Final remains my grail item, but I'd love to see the 2015 UHFs used to line a jean jacket. Related, my blanket-lined natural indigo shacket is one of my favorite pieces.
I think this (or something similar) is a lot of people's grail…the problem is that everyone wants some different details and/or didn't pull the trigger when something similar was offered. I'd buy a lined type II provided it didn't have cinch back, but would prefer cord/non-indigo since I already have a lot of blue denim jackets. There i go with my personal requests...

I like blanket lined stuff, but from memory, every blanket lined IH piece that I have seen has ended up on special….

After searching high and low for a decent one out in the wild I'd like to resubmit my request for a black 101j. 16oz black denim would be a dream come true.
-
bummer! i was excited to see what came of the 16oz. oh well, 21 would be a beast and breaking it in will feel like an accomplishment! I definitely think tonal stitching is the way to go on a black jacket.
-
I like this idea too. Black with tonal stitching gets my vote. Completely murdered out with tonal stitching and black buttons would be ideal but if it were copper buttons that would do.
-
Copper buttons could be cool…

Honestly I'd be good with either. The red W would pop nicely like it does on the black 1600

Copper buttons please.

I have to agree - copper on black would be very cool.
