Hey guys, quick update. Just picked up the jeans today, not able to take any photos yet since I'm just heading out to work but I'll be sure to post some pictures tomorrow.
Perfect timing as I'm heading out to Jester King for a beer release tomorrow and then leaving for New Orleans on Saturday. Stay tuned!You're getting that blueberry sour, aren't you? That one looks really tasty.

So turns out I'm not going to make it to the brewery today, trying to save some cash for the New Orleans trip and practice some self-control…but I have some photos of the jeans!
They are a little snug on me, I wish the rise was about an half an inch to an inch higher and about half an inch more thigh room, but I'll make 'em work.

Alright guys, I'm back from New Orleans so here's my update!
Weather was great when we got there, sun was starting to set and nice and clear.
First night we got there we hit up Port Of Call, which is half tiki bar half burger joint.
After dinner our next stop was this spot in Bywater called Bacchanal Wine, which is half wine shop half big outdoor concert area with some small plates to accompany your wine. Not usually a wine guy but I enjoyed the vibe here.
We had a few bottles of wine, listened to some music and then called it a night.
Ended up talking to the bassist and he's playing a show in Austin in May, we told him we were going to try and catch the show but he probably just thought we were drunk.
The next day started off with a few Stumptown nitros. We stayed at the Ace Hotel and it was nice having a Stumptown right next door.
After that we walked over to a restaurant called Willa Jean, which was southern inspired focusing on biscuits, pastries and other good eats.
Just look at this chicken biscuit topped with honey and battered with cayenne pepper. ???
After that we walked around the French Quarter and enjoyed the afternoon, my girlfriend insisted on taking selfies so here I am wearing my Roy chambray shirt and Papa Nui cap. Can't see the world tour jeans but they're on my legs!
Next up we headed over to Avenue Pub which had a pretty solid tap list.
I was looking for some beers from Parish Brewing Company as I've heard they have some good ones, and luckily they had a few on tap!
First up was the Parish Envie, a hazy hoppy APA. Quite tasty and was tapped pretty recently according to the bartender.
Next up was the Parish Rêve coffee stout, also very tasty.
Sitting outside on their rooftop patio, good for people watching.
I thought the name of the restaurant across the street was pretty funny, since I have the humor of a 13 year old.
Also, after looking through all my photos this is the only one you can see of me in the jeans! In the background at the bar, probably ordering another beer…
For dinner we hit up a place called Killer Po Boys, where I had a pretty good pork belly poboy.
Stopped by Erin Rose for a frozen Irish coffee before we went on a ghost tour (where I forgot to take any pictures!
The next day was basically a wash, as it rained all morning and afternoon. We tried walking around a bit but it was pretty miserable and rainy. Probably would've been better if I had the IHJ-57 that's coming out soon.
Later on it stopped raining, so we grabbed a donut from District Donuts. This one was hibiscus flavored.
After donuts we walked around the Garden District a bit before grabbing dinner at Cochon Butcher.
This was one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had, which is almost blasphemous for me to say considering I live in Texas and this was Carolina style barbecue. ::)
Fast forward a couple of days and we were back in Conroe at my girlfriend's mom's house. That evening we checked out B52 Brewery which was very tasty. I had their bourbon barrel aged breakfast stout with cocoa nibs and their DIPA with galaxy hops aged on oak. Surprising little brewery!
That's about all I've got from my trip, the jeans are holding up well. I've forgotten what it's like wearing heavier jeans but these are very nice. I wish the rise was a little higher and the thighs had a little more room in them, but I'm making them work for now. Thanks for reading! -

As a North Carolinian resident alien in Texas, I feel comfortable reassuring you that you're ok liking both. While they're both BBQ, that's really name only. Kinda like lambics and imperial stouts are both beers.
What's blasphemous is the thought that you can get quality Carolina pulled pork 'cue in Louisiana.

I'd like to get these bad boys in June. Trying to shed some lbs for a triathlon at the end of June and I think I'll be able to fit into them better than the first time around…
