I'm sill going to wear my 1955s until they fall off my legs, but will always welcome a cut that could suit me better.

It's hard to differentiate helpful feedback from petulant demands on the internet, but I'm pretty sure the comments here were intended as the former.

Entirely agree on with the sentiment of wearing the 1955S till they fall apart, and definitely mentioning it just to be helpful, I assumed it wasn't just me.

I found this forum before I bought an Iron Heart product… ironically I only started to Google jeans because I have big thighs in proportion to my waist, and it has become much harder with recent fashion trends to buy anything that would fit me. There were thousands of posts online from sportsmen and gym enthusiasts who had grown themselves out of regular jeans- evidently quite an issue. I hate stretch jeans and thin fabric jeans, and wear them out so damn fast (perhaps 30 full days wear before crotch blows). If I hadn't found the 1955S I'd have worn jeans a LOT less this past year. I'm a convert to the fabric and the build quality and would love a second option from Iron Heart, hence my enthusiasm since finding this thread!!  🙂

H loves a tight pocket, that's why they are like they are…..  You have to remember, this is his brand, ultimately, he'll only do what he likes and what pleases him.  If people don't like what he does, he won't lose any sleep.

I like everything about this statement. I just caught up on this model and I can't wait to see what you all cook up.

See i like the shallow pockets. All i put in my front pockets is a bit of loose change and notes. Phone fades are horrible IMO.

Also the deeper the pocket the lower down your leg the pocket fade is going to appear which i don't personally like. My UES has really deep front pockets and you can clearly see them now they are faded.

^ i'm with @spitfiredealer on this. I keep nothing in front pockets apart from small things I stick there for two minutes so as to keep my hands free, car keys, pocket knife, zippo (if I'm smoking), thumbs for when I'm pretending to be James Dean.

Muck around with pocket openings and pocket bags and you muck around with the whole front of the top block, which on most IH cuts is bloody lovely. Practical needs are all well and good, but lets not forget we buy IH jeans because they look sharp af as well.

I know you were.  I was only saying that because we all have a tendency to think what we think is good is the best, well luckily it aint otherwise the world would be a very boring place…..

Yep, I'm with neph and spitfire on this one.  Cell phone fades are not attractive and all I put in my front pockets is my key fob.  I've actually noticed I'll use my back pockets for random items through out the day.

I have a pair of Strike Gold and those pockets are silly deep. I find it annoying. My watch or bracelet gets caught on the pocket opening while trying to dig for change. IH depth seems to be spot on. As for the width of opening tho? Id like them a bit wider personally. My hands JUST  make it in and with my knife being there too, i have to struggle to get my hand in.
Maybe i just have too big of hands? Idk lol

I kinda like the tight pockets, nobody is gonna steal shit from those… of course you're going to learn some minor gymnastics to remove items from pockets while seated, but I seem to have mastered this

Front pockets are for hands and hankies  😉 can't understand why you'd want to put anything larger like a phone in them, that would just be uncomfortable.

I fully agree that pockets that are too deep are also problematic, as pillowPANTS pointed out, watch bands can get hung up on the top of the pocket opening, and you can't even reach the bottom (and I rarely wear a watch).

I'm in this camp. I don't put anything in my pockets, but that is because I can barely get my hands in them. I find this is only the case with my 634 and 666. I'm able to use (and do) the pockets in my chinos (every iteration).

Despite being one of the guys to bring up the 1955S shallow pocket thing, I do own one pair from another brand with stupidly big pockets, that genuinely have the capacity to swallow up an iPad. A friggin iPad. Even I don't subscribe to this giant pocket phenomenon…

Minus that pair and the 1955S, the rest vastly conform to a standard depth, but some odd shapes.

EDIT: The super-deep pair would be Gap or Next, the only two brands on the UK high street kind enough to provide jeans that (kinda) fit me
