Wool is such as versatile fabric. The melton variants were extremely warm, yet did allow some airflow through them. I have read on the forum that these are thinner, so these would be less "toasty." Since wool is a naturally wicking material, it makes the perfect baselayer, keeping your warm dry and comfortable. I think these may be one of the most luxurious products Iron Heart has ever put out. Crossing my fingers for perfect sizing because my closet needs the grey one. @Sam I lied on my order an hour ago.. I think this beauty deserves a good home in Alabama too.

80% wool, 20% nylon
At 80%-20% they will wear like-well, like iron

these look really nice. i'm afraid wool might be too warm for my climate (Arizona)??? never owned any wool shirts. I would imagine these would be warmer than the UHF's??
I feel the same way, just not cold enough in Texas.
All three colors look great.Wool breathes amazingly well compared to cotton, and G-san mentioned that these are quite thin. I very much doubt they'll be as warm as the UHF's and will certainly work better in heat.

@neph93 - I think I will stick to dry cleaning when necessary. However my red Melton CPO did mark pretty easily, but a quick damp rag usually did the trick in terms of spot cleaning.

Just been checking the web for how to wash virgin wool without shrinking, and it isn't hard. I'll be sticking with my regular size and doing a cold hand wash with specialist wool detergent, unless @Winchy or @Giles say otherwise.
