Wake Up and Coffee

My cold brew trials have continued. This time, with Stumptown's bottled offering.

Much lighter than the Chameleon, mainly because the Stumptown isn't concentrated, so me putting almond milk in this one didn't really do much justice to the flavor. Quite refreshing though!

Question for you coffee guys.
So today I was at the grocery and I was picking up some coffee, I generally buy Cuvée Coffee which is roasted here in Austin and pretty solid for daily drinking. Not crazy expensive, about 12-15 dollars a pound.
Well I saw some Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee from another roaster and I was stunned at the price. 69 dollars for a pound! Is is really that great or is it purely a case of supply and demand? I've heard of the coffee before and have seen some videos discussing it and how it's cultivated, but I never knew it was so expensive.
Just curious if I'm totally off base or what.

Hi @Anesthetist
What a beautiful mug. Is it affordable and where to buy? -
They vary in price according to style, color, condition, and marking. I paid about $30 for mine since it has an early stamp, is near mint, and had some beautiful coloring. As I understand it, a lot of these mugs were used in restaurants and have lost their luster or are pitted due to machine washing.
I bought mine at a neighborhood store but just bought two more small mugs on ebay for much less although they are a less desirable pattern. I would start there and see what you like. What's funny is that when I was a kid I used to see these mugs for 25¢ at garage sales. If only I knew back then…..
