Would you guys recommend a soak so that I could shrink the denim a bit? It is now just under 2 weeks that I have been wearing it continuously and I'm constantly annoyed by the slight looseness at the back. There is no fault with the denim, but my butt is tad small!

Try a hot soak. Or even a warm machine wash (without spinning). I find that my jeans always tighten up a bit after I wash them.

Start doing squats.  Only way to fix that is bigger glutes.

Yeah, I know. It's not the waist that's the problem. It does give me hope for the thigh though.

Thigh stretch is hard to come by, in my experience. If you're needing any more than half an inch, I'd say it's time to size up!
