Fascinating! I just googled it and it definitely resembles the same twelve point circle with which I begin my process. But that's just the starting point, there are eleven more steps for me. I've been using a twelve point circle as my daily journal for eleven years now, it's like my walking labyrinth, but with writing.

I draw lines and write on both sides, normally in cursive and normally rotating clockwise, here's a pic (please excuse the haphazard sketch, I'm out of the studio but wanted to roughly illustrate the process). I left out the last step just to keep some mystery  ;):

And here's what it looks like when done:

Pulled together this custom bag strap for one of my bags.

          Made it from:

          • 50mm olive seatbelt webbing purchased from a Supplier to the British military.

          • 50mm Austrialpin mil-spec Cobra buckle.

          • Mil-spec ITW Nexus tri-glide

          • Antique effect brass trigger snaps

          Measuring, marking and cutting.

For sealing the edges of the webbing….

          The finished article….

              Some local jade I've found…

These are just the small pieces. Really want to cast a sterling ring using the lost wax method, shape the white nephrite (mutton fat) jade into a cabochon, and create an epic super heavy ring in the Navajo tradition… It might be the only one of it's kind in that style with American white nephrite jade. Surely irreverent for most, but it has me drooling. Then I will make a bolo! Will draw up some sketches in a few....

Cheers sabergirl. Making some progress. Thinking I'll stick to a simple ring design somewhere in the 50g range. 🙂

some extra wear time did this peace some good. It is now officially retired and I love it  :-*. It has been with me through so much of my life. There are elements that are more than seven years old. These are just pics from the studio cause Im super excited to have witnessed completion. I'll get better ones. For now, Please enjoy.

Here's what it looked like before the latest evolution.  This is Arches cover paper which is 250gsm, or similar to 14oz. IH denim.  This peace of paper had been "worn" for so long that it was wearing thin in multiple areas, and I was really worried that I would risk destruction if I wore them anymore.  That's why I had left it as it was in the picture, but I was never really content.  It's like it was just hanging in my closet, begging to be worn one more time.  Fortunately, I found some time recently, as well as some bravery, and I committed to havin a go.  I'm pretty thrilled that the paper held up, and after several more layers, it's now even stronger than before (i have additive and subtractive techniques, so I was able to add some wax-oil pastel and reinforce the paper before I applied the finishing layer.  I love how the denim metaphor applies to my artwork  😘

And here's how the paper looks when new  ;D:

It's been a week of no functionability, but I got some back today and couldn't stop myself from getting some work done. Apologies for the gratuitous work in progress.
