The button holes of my IHSH-46 were getting a bit "loose" and starting to have some broken threads, so I went ahead and reinforced and "tightened" the holes - shirt feels indestructible now.  Anyways, here is a few pics of the before, after and a few during…

        The factory button hole:

        Inside of factory button hole:

Used some thread that matched pretty closely to sew starting from the very edge to cover the broken threads:

The inside is a bit "unprofessional"…

But from the outside you can't really tell anything was done!

I guess I can cross-post this from the "What Should We Make?" thread….

I basically just bleached the fack out of my IHSH-33 and turned it an off-white. I myself love the results.

need a fit pick @deanclean that is some amazing stuff right there.

Hey @Appfaff that's a pretty neat job you did right there. I might give it a shot this evening on a shirt I have with wobbly button holes.

Thanks @madmonday - I had been meaning to do it for a while, but finally sat down and did it. I'd say that it also helps the buttons not have that "pulling" appearance when fully buttoned up. I'll be doing it with the 38 next.

@UnTucked - I'm gonna go ahead and say that is actually pretty badass looking. One of my first "denim" shirts was a bleached out off white Nudie shirt that looked great with everything.

In a way, your bleached 33 reminds me of the IHSH-56 in Ivory - well done, and congrats on having the guts to bleach it! Not sure I'd be so brave haha

What shirt is that @Chris ?

                      More images please

The shirt started out as an IHSH-119 white chambray, so basically this

Then I dyed it red, didn't really like the color, then dyed it a different red, didn't really like the color, then just gave up.  It's a little too rust colored, but I can live with it.  One thing I really like is how the buttons came out.

This isn't the first time I've done this, by the way.  I also have an IHSH-58 that I dyed green.  Overall, I think that one came out better.  Buttons kinda suck, though.  They just look dirty.

I like the rusty shirt, if you don't want I will purchase. I'm looking at it in the thread thinking that shirt did not come in that color, hahahahahaha.

The green is nice but it reminds of the Statue of Liberty for some reason. . . change out the buttons on the green & it would rock, maybe sort of  :-\

Thanks for entertaining & putting up the images @Chris aka mister bad avatar

This thread has some great stuff in it today

As you can tell, I like to get white chambrays and then dye them.  The 119 is a great shirt for doing that.  I'm considering getting another and indigo dyeing it, since I've never worked with indigo and have been wanting to try it.

IHSH-119 indigo is the logical consequence after that glorious IHSH-119 rusty. Great modification @Chris

And yes, the 119 is a great shirt, even the indigo/grey one.

Unexpected home bleach. Strong result @UnTucked

@madmonday  completely forgot about fit pics.  Here are a few.  Kinda neat that under the Sharpie on the back you can see the ID: CVA-61.  Turns out that was an aircraft carrier.  The USS Ranger.

Your bleached out shirt looks f***ing awesome, cooler than any shirt that originally came in off-white ever could. Kudos!

                                        I wanted an oversized Iron Heart logo'd copper snaps, as used on this IHSH 99, so I could remove the plain snap on the "Snappered mandarin collar" of my IH-9527J and replace it with an oversized Iron Heart logo'd copper snap. I asked @Giles and he posted me a single oversized Iron Heart logo'd copper snap that I retro-fitted to my IH-9527J, see below;

                                        Cheers @Giles
