Thanks for the help guys! After seeing the pics and reading the descriptions , it seems like they are 9301. I hadn't seen or even heard them mentioned until now.

Are IH-9301 a slim cut? The pair I've got fit more like a 634. Really roomy in the box and no real taper. I believe the hem is around 9" across.

Do they have a zipper? If so don't think 9301, does it say anything behind the label that says works inc?

If all this is already mentioned sorry in advance, I love a good mystery.

These have the grey/black W, red stitching, button fly,  the hem is 9". I'll take other measurements once I get home. I'll compare those measurements to my 634's , them seem to be similar.

I'm sorry, I think the gang solved this already and they are 9301s.  Its crazy they  were advertised as a zip fly but are button fly.

Do you like the fit & fabric or do they disappoint in some way or the other?

On a closely related note do the arcs look like standard IH arcs or do they have an extra loop? If they have an extra loop chances are the gang ( @4c )is correct.

Just curious, but did it say where they shipped from?

I had a pair in a size 38 that I sold to a resale shop in New Orleans back in 2012. Always wondered what would happen to those.  Sad to think I got rid of them cause they were too big, now they would be Perfect for me lol

No.  Though it would be another process.  Either making shirt specific label and attaching it, or stamping each shirt…...Both of which have a time and therefore cost implication......

You should  meet them. And then I'd keep an eye on the forum, see if you're still posting. In case  intellectual fellowship & academia is not uppermost in their mind. Maybe they've been brooding about the whole co-valedictorian thing. Gun up if you live in the States.
