Pisses me off that neither JK nor Prairie have come to NO yet. Can't understand why the monopoly is dragging its arse.

I'm sure you're right, but the bureaucracy for sorting this shit out in a state run service like this is a bit silly.

A lot of Jester King's stuff doesn't even make it off site honestly.
Hard to come across some of it unless you make it out there on a release weekend.

Yeah, I'm in Houston, only a three hour drive from the Jester King brewery and their beer is pretty sporadically stocked around here.  You really do have to go to the brewery if you want much of anything.

Prairie seems much more widely distributed, though.  You may actually have a chance at seeing that someday soon.

Prairie is getting more and more distribution in Texas, went to the store today and saw a ton of their beers. Grabbed a couple Okies, exited to try them out.

Thanks guys, I get the picture. Small brewery, small runs. I hear so much about these two brands and Prairie at least has made it to some Euro countries. The state run monopoly in Norway which is the only way to get alcohol over 4.7 abv is actually a fantastic organisation that manages to get hold of quality beverages from around the world. We get great stuff from pretty much anywhere either in the local store or available from online lists. So I'm a bit spoilt really. It'll turn up one day.

Fullers is really consistent quality for one of the larger breweries @Seul
I picked up these on the way back from holiday..highlights were the Prairie Bible Belt and Mikkeller Brunch Weasel.

                            How was the Vintage Ale?

Just started the weekend with this. Specially ordered, this is Nøgne's version of a Belgian classic…

Fair bit of sherry… But still good... How is the Oud Bruin?..

A bit meh to be honest. Authentic aged bruin taste which is nice. Boozy (it's 7%abv) and vinous. A bit too flat at the end to be well balanced. One of those where you suspect they had more fun making it than I am having drinking it.

YULE MAELK!.. It's the first beer I'll have when I'm settled at my new place in about two weeks - and it's the first beer I'll be drinking straight from the cellar  🙂

That Special Holiday Ale is great, Aetas. Personal fave.

Here's some more Nøgne. This one's a doozy. A collab Impy Stout called M.O.L.E.  Practically no head, thick and sticky and damn tasty. Great stuff.

Yep. Fullers is good for a bigger brewery. Pride looked after well on tap is a nice session ale.
