Ballast Point was right next door to where I used to live in CA so I picked this up. I know this is the "favorite beer" thread, but holy hell this is bad. Not sure why they bothered bottling and distributing it. Victory at Sea is still one of my favorites though.

So, my brother was bitching about not having enough stock room for food. Picked up a bigger cabinet.

        Problem solved.

Ha, one of my beer buddies was just raving about it. They have singles available nearby, will try. The grapefruit is so good, not to mention regular Sculpin.

          Think it, be it.

Victory At Sea is great, and I also really like regular Sculpin and the grapefruit variety. I'll skip on the habanero.
What did you think of the Cerveza Sin Frontera @mclaincausey? I really liked it when I was out at Jester King.

No idea, the bottle was $20 and so I only got one. I'll be cellaring her.

Ah okay, thought you might've had a pour at the brewery.
I got one bottle as well, planning on waiting awhile for that as well.
It was enjoyable fresh on tap.

Have you picked up a Crooked Stave one? I can see if there are some left if you're interested. I did try that (it's the brown ale pictured left of the bottle) and it's great, definitely a pronounced sherry flavor that's a bit different than other things of CS I've tried.

                  Think it, be it.

Gotta love the label. A North Korean architectural abortion and a profane name. Ale lives up to it.

I didn't get to try the Crooked Stave batch, just the Jester King one.
The Jester King batch did have some sherry flavor but a bit more sour and wild tasting, like a lot of Jester King offerings.
Also I love that label above! I'll have to keep my eye out for that one.

Honestly scared to do a stock check after yesterday's party… Luckily I had only stacked it with my brother's beers...

Modest beer haul from the grocery store.

I really love the Love Child series, one of the first sours that got me into sours. So I make a point to buy it every year.
This Chimay had good reviews, so I had to give it a shot.
I haven't had Curmudgeon before, bud I've heard many good things. And I thought Burton Baton was also pretty good in the past.
Stumbled across a few more Prairie Bible Belts too!

I'm familiar with that Jester King bottle next to it!  😘
Here's some beers from last night.

This Chimay was fantastic, light and a bit fruity. Definitely would drink again.

Curmudgeon was pretty good, might cellar a few of the few pack just to see what they're like.

Bible Belt was amazing. One of my favorite beers ever from Prairie. Just perfect. Going to cellar the other two bottles I have.
                                  And now I'm drinking this:

Nothing incredible, reminds me a bit of Curmudgeon without the molasses taste and much more hoppy.

xtcclassic: I can easily get the 3F Intense Kriek or Oude Kriek, and it's probably just as good. Can't be bothered with those hyped sours, really…

Broark: nice looking beers... Glad you liked the Chimay, it is so good indeed... It's not too complex a beer, but it's just perfect if you want a medium bodied, high quality triple...
