I didn't get to try the Crooked Stave batch, just the Jester King one.
The Jester King batch did have some sherry flavor but a bit more sour and wild tasting, like a lot of Jester King offerings.
Also I love that label above! I'll have to keep my eye out for that one.

I love Big Freedia. Dark Lord day sounds like it will be even more epic this year.

Honestly scared to do a stock check after yesterday's party… Luckily I had only stacked it with my brother's beers...

This soldier lost its life in the line of duty at 2am... RIP...

Modest beer haul from the grocery store.

I really love the Love Child series, one of the first sours that got me into sours. So I make a point to buy it every year.
This Chimay had good reviews, so I had to give it a shot.
I haven't had Curmudgeon before, bud I've heard many good things. And I thought Burton Baton was also pretty good in the past.
Stumbled across a few more Prairie Bible Belts too!

I'm familiar with that Jester King bottle next to it!  😘
Here's some beers from last night.

This Chimay was fantastic, light and a bit fruity. Definitely would drink again.

Curmudgeon was pretty good, might cellar a few of the few pack just to see what they're like.

Bible Belt was amazing. One of my favorite beers ever from Prairie. Just perfect. Going to cellar the other two bottles I have.
                  And now I'm drinking this:

Nothing incredible, reminds me a bit of Curmudgeon without the molasses taste and much more hoppy.

xtcclassic: I can easily get the 3F Intense Kriek or Oude Kriek, and it's probably just as good. Can't be bothered with those hyped sours, really…

Broark: nice looking beers... Glad you liked the Chimay, it is so good indeed... It's not too complex a beer, but it's just perfect if you want a medium bodied, high quality triple...

Saw some By Udder Means at the store last time but skipped on it.

It's a lovely glass. And I'd say "Nah I don't have that many glasses" but guess what… I found a sécond La Moneuse glass hidden in me cabinet... Had forgotten about it...  😠

Just received a fantastically large box full of strong Belgian ales from the pig man @Seul . I will post my drunken exploits with them in the coming days  😉

I really like this, nice tart and more dry sour. Not nearly as funky as most sours from Jester King, but it's a nice change of pace.
I think I would buy this again if it were maybe a few bucks cheaper, I think I paid 15 bucks for it? A bit on the higher end for a bottle this size in my opinion…but a very good sour.

So I drank this by myself last night despite being a table beer (and 1.5L big…)

Jester King collaboration with Austin chef Paul Qui, Equipoise.
I usually get a bit cynical about the Austin food and restaurant scene because of a lot of the people involved but Paul Qui is a genuinely nice dude.
Farmhouse ale brewed with ginger salt and tarragon, then refermented with cantaloupe.
Really enjoyed it, only 4.2% ABV so it was very subtle and just nice all around.
