I'd definitely get 5-6 pairs of the black laces. Not sure if that's convincing enough, but I just on't like brown laces on black or burgundy boots.

      Inbound…...

      Perfect! Thanks a lot.

        BOOM.

The special Olive Drab smooth, matt leather we commissioned is ready.  Foe those of you who know the Wesco "Burlap" this has the same hand and can be used smooth or rough out.

It is with Wesco now.  I will be getting some builds made up for general release but please feel free to dream up some normal/interesting/wild builds of your own.

I can see a pair of Olive/Burlap engineers in my future.

Remember you can only get this hide through The Bootery, Iron Heart, Vater & Sohn or one of our retailers….

            Silver eyelets (no hooks)
            Very low Foot Patrol heel
            430 Vib Sole
            Natty midsole
Not sure about the upper stitching…

^ plastic counter sure makes the heel look very thin/low profile compared to other brands like White's that use leather…

So are you saying that those boots were custom made without the the use of Wesco's standard Permanently formed Stytherm™ counter…?

I see what could be a plastic counter sheared off above the heel. I'm not sure there's anything wrong with that.

Leather is nice and Stytherm™ is nice… I really like the different profiles they have. The Wesco’s feel lighter, lower profile, and sleeker and the White’s feel more heavy, chunky, and bulky. I wear both in rotation and it’s a tough decision every morning…
Here is the difference in profile between White’s Smokejumpers and Wesco Jobmasters:

^ Yep, but plastic is stronger and therefore is able to be made significantly thinner than leather while maintaining structural integrity.

The Stytherm in the heel looks thin due to the picture. It's a waterproof material used in the heels, so they  don't tend to sag like the all leather counters do over time:).
