@Anesthetist yes chimps face-ripping freak outs. I guess that is what is so crazy about that pic. Some bloke thought it a good idea to put his missus next to a gorilla, seated by a fountain btw. I mean. Firstly gorilla where, and how. Secondo what kinda bloke would think it acceptable… personally I think it woulda been better if the gorilla could at least cross his damn legs. Anyway that's not the point; the point is its Christmas, I'm not allowed to drink yet, nothing on tv, and a disco version of "I was made for loving you" by you know who is blaring from some wireless speaker booming from a child's room upstairs, accompanied by an elder sibling on electric guitar, xmas, humbug.

Dear god, my mother in law is so cheap. Explaining to her that a full kitchen gut and replacement costs more than $1000 is almost physically painful.

Oh hell, that would be hilarious. I'd have to scrape bits of her head off the ceiling. Of course, this is also the same woman that demanded a Rolex for her birthday several years ago because she heard they were nice. She never wears it because it stops running if it sits on the counter for a couple of days, which means it's broken.
She just has no concept of how much things cost (other than food and gasoline), so everything is automatically too expensive. Explaining otherwise can be a lot of work occasionally.

"Try the laces" they said, "you might like them" they said…..then they passed me the silicone leather protector.....then she gave me a leather brush......the next thing you know you're cleaning 14 pairs of boots like you're Giles fucking Padmore or something....... :o

Half a year ago we didn't know wether we would be able to celebrate christmas with her (and her granddad). Luckily we were able to do so, even with our grand-grand-parents. I'm totally in love.
