Thanks @deanclean. I do miss doing those long runs on sun-dappled Sundays through woodland and riversides but the miles and miles on the roads in the dark of February mornings, not so much!

thanks, i just cut most of my weight.  i had a bunch of knee glide/butt wink and i wasn't using my hamstrings, mainly due to the fact that my lower back was so weak that i couldn't squat low-bar.

killed my ego and started over last night…

                  never felt better.

Bubba - you tried high bar squatting?  I was a huge low bar guy until I started mainly weightlifting and my high bar has exceeded what I can rack low now - might be worth a shot, especially if you wear lifting shoes and have wraps

working on inversions lately…  Single arm isometric holds are on tap to find that center.  Also the handstand push-up is a great excerise for recruiting not only rotator cuff stabilization, but also engages all 3 heads of your deltoids.

I feel like this thread should be at or near the top daily…

Bravo! I've been trying more bodyweight exercises, and slowly building to true push-ups from "girl" push-ups felt like an accomplishment. Lol

I've been doing a lot of bodyweight training this year, until my right shoulder fekkt up. Impingment syndrom and a supraspinatus sinew that starts to inflammat after a few pull ups or push ups. 😞

cole not sure how the pull-ups would affect your supraspinatus?  Maybe do chin-ups to put the emphasis on the lats/biceps.  Also self myofacial release with a lacross ball will help get new blood/repair to that area.

the guy has a pretty cool youtube and IG page…the videos are great and imo it's a great thing when wanting to workout at home. so no gym required as you can tell.

opinions would be great to hear! thanks.

Stay away from stuff like this…  Keep it simple...  don't jump on timed plans/diets, just figure out a way to make it a lifestyle.  Build muscle=burning fat.  Cardio=Cortisol(if you like cardio, keep it at 15 mins max and at the end of your workout).  I know I'll catch shit for that one.  Anyway, you need to lift/push weight (75-85% of your one rep max) at least 2 times a week, hitting your main movers(pecs, back, legs(glutes!), shoulders).  I dig the body weight stuff, and you can produce results using explosive movements with body weight.  Win the week...  4 of the 7 days eat clean and workout.

I dispute that there WAS a "true Paleo diet," and that if there was the characterization wouldn't be reduced to "very lean, pure meats, lots of wild plants," and I also dispute that his mischaracterization of an imaginary diet is a difficult regimen in modern times. It's hard to layer that much wrongness in such a small sentence.

                                            Think it, be it.
