Because canvas is a 1/1 (plain) weave, the folds are clean and crisp.  A plain weave inherently wants to hold its shape, a twill weave inherently does not…

Does being duck canvas mean it will be a warmer jean? And the weave is inherently tighter?

Our duck is a very tight weave, tighter than our denims.  So it may be a tad warmer than the same weight denim.

I pre-ordered  one pair of 634s-DD and one of 666s-DD (both selvedge)

BUT
I noticed that that selvedge and not-selvedge will have different patches…
The problem is that I love them both.

BUT
I cannot buy 4 pairs of new jeans!

SO
I would choose a pair of 634-DD (not selvedge) and one pair of 666s-DD (selvedge)

It can be done? Or I've done my usual mess?

The prototyp of the 666 Loombreaker just arrived 45 minutes ago. I thought I better take and post fit pics right away, before my wife finds out I bought another piece of IH gear this year and kills me.

The fit looks great.  I guess even though this is a prototype, you have to pay for it to keep it.

Gave them a 1 hour soak with lukewarm water in the bathtub and let them drip try right now. I realy hope they are dry until tomorrow.

I just returned from my first night out with the new Loombreaker.

So far it wears like a charm (after it wasn't damp anymore) but the creases around the knee make it look a little akward while walking or standing around. I have no experience with Duck and the whole heavy Denim thing is relatively new to me, so could someone with more experience please tell me if the creases will spred them self a bit more evenly, once the fabric softened up a little with wear.

I hate looking like I wear kneepads underneath all the time.

They look great, Cole. I'm sure they will settle with wear. That stiffness is just the initial price of going heavy. It will be worth it.

Yeah just wear them and they will soften up and settle. Great fit!
