Thanks @illumin8em the fit is perfect they're just rubbing the tops of my big toes for some reason, especially the right foot. I assume it will go away with some wear. I haven't been able to wear them much since it's been so warm, but they should get a lot of wear in the coming months!

@Bluegrass nice boots, what is the size? @Carlmart I am 12 in viberg and 12.5 in everything else.

@Bluegrass thx, woow

@Chiba J. is it the same soft CXL as the engineers? It looks like it may be a bit firmer (how I think I can tell that is anyone's guess).
-
I've never actually handled the CXL engineers, but I think this is the same stuff. I think what you're seeing is just that this is a more complexly structured boot than the engineers and thus less prone to all the bending and creasing. One thing you can't see in photos is the very nice deerskin lining.

Nice, which is the most comfortable? White's, easily. Viberg is a respectable second. The Wescos are still new(ish) and untamed. They'll never be as comfortable as the White's, even though they're getting better each time I wear them. That's not a knock on Wesco, just a recognition that the choices I made in their construction will restrict them.

IHxVB Hikers: Nice match up with the laces @FurattoHeddo . I have to ask, do you change the laces to match the pants each time you wear them? If so, I might have to do the same If so, I might have to do the same

random question- i have a female friend who needs a nice pair of winter-ish boots- anyone know of any good brands/examples of wescos that may look fantastic and feminine?
