WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY - WAYDT (PICS)
-
I'm a geek, not a nerd. No D&D or Star Trek or comics. I do enjoy the new Trek movies though
-
I read comic books, love sic fi movies, and have an unhealthy (Seinfeld-esque ) obsession with Superman…..but I also like sports, beer and inane banter........I would have struggled to fit in at an American college :-\
-
I have read some fantasy and some sci fi fo shizzle. Heck perhaps I have mis-labeled myself with the wrong identity group. What ever will I do?!

Sounds like american college to me. Particularly fraternity house life

This one was just down the road from me. Sometimes there is/are benefits to living in a post light-industrial area.
Someone broke the door to it about a week ago, and it's been wide open ever since. Most of the graf in there is from 2010. Even more interesting is/are the computers and records still in there. Found literally the oldest modem I've ever seen, from the 1980's. Tempted to go back for it tomorrow…

love the pics snowy

i allmost asked whats a modem but thought better of it just in case people think im stupid ,
-
harley, the modem is the 3rd picture from the bottom that Aetas has inserted a part of just above. A modem is the thing, back in the day, that allowed computers to connect to other computers using phonelines. This modem is from before the internet was invented (serious), and would have likely been used to talk direct to other computers 1:1. EG copy financial records to head office or something. Bulletin Boards did exist, but I'm doubtful a company would have had use for a Bulletin Board in the '80s.
Thanks gents.
