Still wearing the 18oz Beatle Busters….it will be quite a while until I need a jacket again.
With you Brother. 18oz IH-634SV's going strong in this. A guy I work with in Melbourne said it was 30c OVER NIGHT last night. Going to be the same tonight; http://www.melbourneburning.com/. Guy is tweaking out. No AC @ his place.

It's not often I hear about extreme weather around the globe, but I did hear about the Australian heat wave. Stay cool guys!
Many thanks. I posted this in another thread but our max. temperatures over the past few days in Melbourne were as follows:
Tuesday: 42.8
Wednesday: 41.7
Thursday: 43
Friday: 43.9No air con at work, unfortunately, makes for a very unpleasant working week. Cool change just starting to come in now and I'm sipping on my first Friday night margherita as I type.

It gets lonely at sea, let our sailor friend indulge his tentacle fetishes!

Ok, I'm pretty excited about this:
I got an email yesterday looking for Navy cooks to assist (cook for) SEALs in the field. I'm at the top of a waiting list for a 5 day training exercise in March. They're looking for people that are motivated (check), physically fit (check), and able to think on their feet (check).
My imagination is running wild on this one. Here's what I know: They're going to fly me out, provide uniforms, and I'll be able to work on my Expeditionary Warfare Pin (weapons qualification and maintenance, marksmanship, land navigation, field communications, and expeditionary camp deployment) while I'm there.
I don't know if I'll actually be selected, but I feel like I have a pretty good chance. Sounds like a unique opportunity and I had to pounce on it.
