Not really that familiar with either of those, but beats are still to the fore with the most recent Burial stuff - so if the ambient/drone/Eno-esque thing is what you're after you may be disappointed.
The beats have got a lot more complex (and interesting) though, as have the samples and sounds he's using. Loads more depth than the early stuff.

As far as dystopian soundscapes, hard to beat Future Sound of London's ISDN.
My favorite track from it:

Now I'm listening to ISDN, which makes me feel like Case from Neuromancer.
More cyberpunk:

The stuff I was talking is more ambient and drone but, I will check out his later works

I agree D666 , seen them live and if a 747 took off behind you , you wouldnae
hear it - bloody loud band .If you dismissed bands due to disliking their name , you would have a small record
collection …... -
Ha ha " far from it " ….went through my cds before coming to Japan ....and holy fudge
far too many . Will never calculate the dollar value - only leads to the asylum . -
Remember when you could swap/ sell cds in , maybe get $4 for one . Get rid of ten
you hate and buy two new ones . Great record shop called Zulu Records in Vancouver ….Now no one buys cds....far as I know,.

I had so many cd's that I was able to sell them and put a down payment on my townhouse.

Local indie record store bought all 8000 of them, 3000 7" and 2000 Lp's
