I gotta confess, I don't know the numbers for any of the gear.  Every time I need to mention something, I have to look it up on the store website.

Really?.. That's weird, Chris… It took some time but by now I know most items by number... Do you aso have issues remembering names or names of beers and such?.. My mate - a huge beerlover - has this thing where he can't remember the names of the beers he loves... How do you cope with that?.. It's beyond me... I know price, expiry date (!), and random info like that about all the beers I love!..

And no: he doesn't suffer from Korsakov. Not that I know of.. He might've told me and I might've forgotten, though…

I remember beer names, though human names are a challenge.  I just don't think of what I'm wearing today as "IHSH-72."  I think of it as a red buffalo check Western flannel.

            Think it, be it.

Nope, I can remember names, I just don't bother with numbers.  Usually, I'll just go with a description, like "wabash work shirt" or "black rider's jacket" and that works fine.

Oddly, I can remember lots of watch movement numbers with no problem (I can tell you the difference between an ETA 2824 and a 2836, or a Poljot 3133 and a 31681, for instance).

You sure?  How about the variations on the 7750 chronograph movement?  My favorite is the 7753.

No need to say chronograph when describing a 7750 everybody knows that 🙂

                        Ok watching it…

@Seul, I have always struggle to remember street names, Can't even tell you the name of streets 1 block from where I live, they just refuse to stick. I describe places by land markers or use Google Maps ::). No problems knowing my 33 from 62, 72, 86 etc. Added I have network addresses stuck from every network I've ever worked on for the past 15 years (this is extremely unusual). Mind you, I also know Pi to 50+ digits…

That is simply how we find things in England.
