I think it's a phrase from WWI.  Going over the top of the trenches typically meant certain death by enemy fire.

This is going to be my first IH Jeans, right now I'm waiting for the UPS guy, who should deliver them today.

My question is, do I need to soak them first, or can I put them on right away and break them in?
