One of the reasons I love working with the Japanese is this.  Sudu-san made a small mistake this morning that actually did not really matter at all.  I told him not to worry, his next email….

I think that there's nothing a westerner could say or do to a stereotypical Japanese who believes s/he has fallen short that would be worse than their own self-flagellation. Such pride and honor taken on every little thing.

Cheers to all for humouring me with your Vulcanalia posts. It was fun.

Next year I hope to make it more of an event; something that could become a major day in the IH calendar. Perhaps a day where we all try to gather with those we share our cities/countries with, and celebrate IH/Vulcanalia in a global way.

Just ideas at this stage….
