How does the Iron Heart compare with Real Mccoy's in terms of weight? The Real Mccoy's sweat fabric is around 12 oz per square yard.
I assume you talking about the JoeMcCoy Ballpark heavyweight sweater? There is the RMC Military sweater too which is around 10 oz, dont know which is better to "compare" to the IHSW-06 and how much oz IHSW-06 is..only owning some Ballpark stuff.
Ballpark fits tts imho, RMC Military size one up as its slimmer and shorter.
Ballpark is thick and heavy, soft inside, i wear mine even now at around 25 degrees Celsius. A nice crewneck sweater regardless from where is such a great piece to have

Strike Gold is super duper heavy. I like the interior fleece of IH a lot though.

What do u guys think about Japanese farmer jackets? I am developing an interest in owning one eventually. I am in love with the indigo and fabric used in the vintage styles iv found like this one below. Do u guys think its a bit much to wear one and are there sites that sell them cheaper than say the $500 iv seen for the vintage ones.
-
That particular one is actually well over 100 years old. Its actually a lot longer in length than i would want. As for closing i would think belt made out of the same fabric. The site were I found that sells fabric dating back over 100 yrs as well so u can make ur own if ur able to. like this http://www.kimonoboy.com/textiles/popup_folder2/kaya-8011.html?item=1688
I dunno about actually getting one but im def intrigued :-\
P.S. Visvim makes one

I think you may also get some of these from Kapital, you can contact bandanna almanac, he is the expert for those things I believe. maybe also for all the vintage questions you might have.

I like the indigo dyed hemp versions. Its such a beautiful fabric up close especially the way it was done in the 1st pic i posted. I have to agree with ya Finn, $500 is def not gonna happen with me either but i would def pay a few hundred for a key piece like that.
Thanks a lot Davito. Im gonna look at it now. By the way I absolutely love Kapital's indigo stuff. Take a look at Kapitals version on the right. Seriously beautiful piece and maybe my favorite jacket.

Wow Davito he actually mentions Kimonoboy which is the site where i found that jacket

Hi everyone I am new to here and I have one question to ask which is with a thigh of 24inches calf 17 inches and waist of 36inches what is the best fitting I can get for IH? I have a few pieces in mind but do not know what is the exact differences like IH 634sr, 634s and lastly 666s Sod
-
The only real way to work that out is to measure a pair of your current jeans that fit you will the way we do:
http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5135.0
And compare with the sizing charts published on every product page under the sizing tab.
BUT IH-634SR are extinct and there is only one pair of IH-666Sod left

Hi, 666 is a superslim jeans where the 666s is unsanforised (will shrink to fit) and the 666sod is overdyed. It seems that a size 36 could work in the 666s but i would go with the 634 cut for your first pair of IH.
634 is based on a 66 cut straight with slight taper. SR anni model and s-raw in the nice 21/23 oz unsanforised denim are extinct unless you find some on the marketplaces around.
634s is very nice, for most this is the first IH pair. The there is also the 634sb the overdyed model with a bit fuller cut especially in your size.
Check out the various threads, lots of great information.
Best is when you measure a good fitting jeans you have and like the IH way and compare it with measurements here.
Good luck

Thank you guys the problem is I became so fat. My past nudie I couldn't wear it and I became fatter that is why I when to search some denims for me to wear it. As due to my big size waist and thigh. Therefore now I am finding one. And I went to search on 634s and sr and hear that is quite a good denim plus is a straight cut. I also have in mind samurai s5000xx and s5000vx21oz. I am choosing among this 3 since IH634sr is extinct
