634s-SEXIH13 - 23oz Selvedge - Straight Fit
-
Giles, in regards to who made the claim concerning the dips I know not; however, they may have been inspired by reading this on the SE product description:
For this jean we had Iron Heart produce the darkest denim they've made that's still indigo (blue) colored in a new 23oz weight, the denim is sanforized and therefore even due to it's heavy weight, it's still comfortable.

Just got word back from Kiya. These will never be run again.
So frustrating…
I've actually paid a fair amount of money to have them completely altered (waist, seat, thigh, knee, opening) twice! But they still don't fit how they should. I've done everything I can to keep them in my rotation -- the denim is that nice -- but alas, they are now my greaser jeans.

Tat buddy get some 634 25ers
eh… I may one day, like I said I currently have two pairs of these, one untouched... just love em and would buy up a few more if available because Im a hoarder like that. Never can have to much of a good thing.. same reason I got another pair of Road Champs on the way.
you beast!

I think you nailed the reason why I can't do slim fit any more… I used to have some extra weight and my waste was a few sizes bigger but now that I wear a size 30 the thighs never work for me at my height. 634s are about as slim as I'm comfortable with now... I was in to super sklim for a quick minute but got over it real fast..plus 7" leg opening don't work with size 13 boots

thanks bud!

I'm 33x30 and I think the 634S is the perfect cut for me if I'm wearing clodhoppers. For sneakers or cowboy boots, the hem is a bit too generous at 8.8". I think about 8.5" or less is perfect there. Straight fits are my favorite, though I guess a slight taper suits me best. A hem will probably rememdy this for me and make the 634 work with any footwear.

Tat yours look great. I'm also a HUGE fan of the 23oz denim - and the SExIH13 fit - I wear a "bigger" size (38) and I think they are ever so slightly slimmer than my other 634s, and that inky dark, tight weave, denim is the nuts. And these look great with boots - leg opening is perfect, and length is spot-on perfect for me with no alteration. I've had two total strangers - one a server at a bar, another dude at a cigar store - approach me and ask me where I got these. I have NEVER had anything like that happen to me. I would definitely buy another pair to put back…

Glad to see this thread getting more

So no more of this denim is being produced? Bummer. It's so damn hardcore, yet so beautiful at the same time. I'm so glad SE was out of the 666-XHS when I tried to order a pair, otherwise I would never have discovered this glorious denim and would now be kicking myself furiously and repeatedly.

Yep. Same thing he told me.
