how to get the max shrinkage? mine was tag 30. lost my weight a bit and have to go for  29..

Turn the jeans inside out, then machine wash, highest possible heat.  Follow with a machine dry, highest possible heat.  Be careful, since the method can leave weird fade lines and creases in your jeans.  Not sure if that will get you the reduction you're trying for, but good luck.
