            Thanks, my job is weather driven and the weather here has been miserable lately.  Things are slowing down now and honestly, my ODs as well as my BBs have just started to get good.  They make me sorry I washed my 25oz at 6 months.  I should have let them cruise into the stinky hall of fame.

              I actually posted this regarding to the 25 oz. fabric earlier today:

              @Seul:

              Also: I would advice you to wash them, or at least soak them, to soften them up. Otherwise the rigidness of the fabric triggers an auto-destruct process…

                      Seul I see that happening to a lot of peoples jeans.  Is that due to a lack of water or is it almost guaranteed to happen regardless with real heavy denim?

                        It happens eventually, with all jeans if worn cuffed… But the speed for this to develop was certainly caused by the very stiff 25 oz. denim...

                          Yea I remember that happened behind my knees pretty quickly at the points.  Its safe to say u should introduce water a lot sooner and more frequent to the 25oz

                            i think this is going to happen to every pair of jeans (the stiffer the faster) when worn cuffed…if you´re wearing your denim single cuffed (or more) the denim from the cuff rubs against your shoes/boots while wearing...this causes tension and in the end, the denim is going to break at that spot...simple is that!

                                    Can someone explain the phenomena of "leg twist" to me?  I may have to start wearing these backwards.

                                      Search function!  There are other explanations in the archives, but this is the oldest I've found, and its from H-san, so this works.

                                      IIRC the 666od denim is unsanforized.  So when it was overdyed in super hot water, the denim shrank and twisted.  I have a pair of the SR's, which are also unsanforized and subject to twisting, but they have not touched hot water so the twisting is less severe than it could have been.  There is no way to avoid it with minimally processed denim that has not been shrunk prior to sewing.

                                      @Giles:

                                      Harakis answer re: leg twist:

                                      Fist of all, the denim of 634SR (unsanforized denim) is not skewed (which is a process to reduce leg twist) so it will twist. The denim is right-hand twill and the fabric will try to reverse, which causes side seam on left side leg to twist towards to middle of legs and inseam on right side leg skew toward to middle. So technically the twist is happening on both legs but  twist on left side leg stand out more than right side leg.

                                        That makes perfect sense, thanks.  The only funciton I've figured out is the "Reply" function.  I believe the forum should keep moving.  There's never any truly new information being presented.  People have been wearing pants for a pretty long time.  They put on jeans, they take them off, sometimes they wash them.  If all I do is search for old posts, what's the point of making new ones?
