The Forum - Three Years On
-
. . . Recently, there has been a somewhat negative trend creep into the Forum: we have prided ourselves on the Iron Heart Forum being a fun and friendly place, we josh and joke and rib each other, give praise, encouragement and advice. Of course not everyone will have the same opinions and tastes, so agreeing to differ and offering constructive criticism in a respectful manner is fine. However, petty sniping, personal vendettas and downright nastiness is unacceptable. Apart from the drain on my and the other mods’ time and emotions, I don’t want new or existing members to think this is normal and acceptable behaviour on our Iron Heart Forum.
So true & apologies to all that have been in my cross-hairs as I am brutally honest to all in the public forum or behind PMs. I can not & will not pretend it was all constructive criticism, instead I'll say thanks for putting up with me (those that do) or putting me on their ignore list. Growing pains are normal & I'm glad the issues are being addressed as opposed to acting like nothing is going on. Hopeful this is just a small blip on a road paved with much more success & this place continues to be an incubator of sorts for not just great products & ideas, but also for a new way for companies to reach & communicate with customers. I don't know . . . you never know you are making history while you are doing it. I have a feeling in a few years a lot of people will be peeking over here to see what the Padamores & this place was/is up to as this world becomes smaller & smaller.
may all your ups & downs happen between the sheets.
still monday

This forum is a super favorite of mine. I love to check out each section starting from the top going to the bottom. I haven't seen any bad behavior, though. Compared to the French Reggae forums, man, this IH forum is a haven of civility!
Anyway, thank you Giles for all the niceness and the great vibes, on top, of course, of a superior shopping experience

Just going to keep wearing IH.
Stay monday.
Two sentiments to stay strong by.
Thanks to all who make this place what it is, from those behind the scenes to those posting things worth reading.

IH's is an example of succesful online community. It's one of the few places over the Internet where I feel like home. Software is solid and not intrusive, mod squad is great and people are brillant and sweet.
Talking about denim, IH forum was (and is) extremely helpful to make the right choices, especially when it comes to sizes, the most importan thing in online sales. Last but not least, our beautiful fit-pics tradition…
Thanks to P&G for efforts and dedication and ... IH for life! -
Thanks to you to Mr. G & P and the mob squad for setting up this IHUK forum. I always feel like family here.
I like reading everyone jokes ( sometimes is very hard for me understand ), there is lots of information and I am amaze with people here with so much knowledge in denim and leather….and more.

Hi all,
This is the only forum I've ever been a part of. Others haven't interested me, often because they are full of mindless bickering and ignorant rants. In addition, I'm not really a follower of clothing lines or fashion. I just like to have good jeans and jackets, and my search led me here.
A lot of what is said here goes over my head, and the way I dress is different to most of you guys (apart from the IH connection), but I still find this a comfortable place to be. I am pleased to see that the "Padmore vision for the future" is to keep it fun. If the humorous and frivolous element disappears, so will I.
Amazing work Giles and all the mods; I struggle to imagine how much work it must be to keep this business and site going. Thankyou.
rock on!!

The Padmores are wonderful people and this forum has been a very positive thing for myself and I think for quite a few others who post here. This is the only forum I am a member of and post in regularly and I have made quite a few friends here. I'm thankful for this and we all owe it to Paula and Giles for making it happen.
I'm sure we've all made snide remarks at one point or another (myself included) but overall I find the IH forum to be an extremely positive place, I hope this continues and I applaud Giles for speaking up about it.
Thanks for making this place great everyone.

Giles et al,
I have never before felt a connection to a brand the way I do with IH. You and your staff are tremendous hosts, and true models of world-class customer service. In a business world where bigger, faster, and cheaper seem to be common adjectives, I appreciate the attention to detail, quality, customer input, and customer satisfaction that IH brings.
I too have been involved with many forums over the years, but the sense of community here, in this forum is unmatched. I've never once before considered meeting fellow forum members in person, and here I am trying to plan a trip to NYC to meet you feckers in the flesh. What have you done to me?!
Anyway, thank you all, for all that you do.
All the very best,
Seawolf
