My understanding is he used to wet the backs of the knees and then do squats
Yeah that sounds about right.
-
Is that frowned upon?

Personally I don't give a flying fuck what people do with their jeans…..
Me neither. That is why I have my own closet.

I totally understand what you're going through, JCar. A couple of weeks ago I got my first pair of OD (Beatle Buster fit) and they are just sensational.
Just like you, I spent a long time inspecting and marvelling at them, and kind of felt bad when I had to de-tag them! I've got a bunch of awesome jeans, but never had anything quite like the IH overdyes.
And then you wear them and realise….holy fuck, these things are comfortable straight away.
Oh, and I love this picture. The OD's actually make that hideous red carpet look good!

Hey G, I was reading thru the earlier days of this topic and I noticed that you can get these shortened for people straight from the factory. So this means I could get my regular inseam of a 32" right from the factory with the OD hem an all? On the next production run of course.
No. We used to do that before I got a Union Special, but anyway the hemming was done post production, so it would be the same as I do anyway. And you wear those suckers for a month and you won't notice the difference anyway. It is exactly the same thread as used in the factory (because that is where I get it from), it is just missing a tiny bit of dye….

UPS-Man came 1 day earlier!
First of all, 634S-B are amazing! Surprisingly 28 are a tad larger that 29 on 634S!
The color is very beautiful and, I have to say, a little better then 666Sod. I always had the suspicion that the flagship 21oz IH denim had the best yield in OD process, and now I know I was right!Giles, why don't you over-dye a thread for sewing? Just to hem OD jeans…
