Matt, on the St. Patricks Day Pic, the jeans and their fit look absolutely great!

To 1.: I'm sure it's a love-hate relationship 
2. Better than for them to see underwear peek out, hate that! You freeball or wear something under them that is complementing fit and cut of the jeans, it seems
3. Wearing jeans like these does involve a spot of masochism, I've often observed that!

I do enjoy a good bit of patch comedy.

My favourite was the old Skull jeans, which said " BY ANALCHEMIST" on them. Eventually they cottoned-on, and put a space in there

That's right.  Tagged size 34 stretched from a 32 actual waist to their current waist… 34.  I thought they would never get there, they were holding @ 33 forever!

how many wears did it took?

About 30.  Definitely size up at least one if you are thinking about these, those rugby legs wouldn't stand a chance if you went tts.
