just received my IH-634S-RAW. seriously, this jeans is ridiculously stiff. literally feels like i'm wearing a cast. i had to lie on my bed to remove my jeans.

gonna soak it tomorrow. hopefully it doesn't shrink more than an inch on the inseam. fingers cross

        @Blackheart:

kit the waist and inseam length were the same as the size listed on the IH sizing page,
34 waist was 35 pre soak and the 36 length measured 37 pre soak.
I'll put up post soak measurements on Sunday with the pics. 😉

        Blackheart,
did you agitate or just soak,  I think you get more shrinkage if you agitate.  If I remember correctly Haraki recommended agitation on the 634sr.  anyway I was just curious

        Now, I have an IRONHEART!!

          G,
will hemming the 40.5 pair change the opening of the hem or will it still be 9.5 after when you are done hemming.

Malaka. I think I'm going to have to super hot soak everything except the top block. Should make for an interesting job.

                G,
will hemming the 40.5 pair change the opening of the hem or will it still be 9.5 after when you are done hemming.

                Here's the math…...

Knee to hem is about 20"  The taper from knee to cuff is 1/2 inch

Work out how much you are going to chop off (let's call that m)

                New opening = 9.5 + (m/20*0.5)

Tinman, no agitation, I just soaked them flat in the bathtub. I posted post soak measurements
in the RAW WAR thread, they did shrink but not drastically.  😉

I definitely had a similar experience with my sr's, it didn't last more than a couple days.  I am guessing the same will be true with these. Good luck.

I spent 45mins to get all the buttons into the holes. What madness is this. Haha. I had to use a drumstick to pull through the top hole, to allow the top button to get in..
