I would stick with 33.  I'm concerned that if you size down on the XHS, your legs may end up getting separated from your torso.  If you are feeling super macho, go for the 32….G

Received mine today, and yea they're stiff like hell, and a hard way to start into IH denim.
As this is my first IH jeans, im quiet happy that they fit perfectly in waist and length,
but it was a pain to put them on first time, because of the cardboard feeling.
Still debating whether soaking them or not to soften them up.
I´ll put up fit pics tomorrow me thinks.

lol, ok so i have no other choice than taking the hard road i guess.
First thought was like "yay, they fit me good" second thought was "uh oh feels like the jeans wear me and not like i wear them"…
