IH-526J-142OD - 14oz Selvedge Denim Modified Type III - Overdyed Indigo
-
Picked this up in a XL. Love it. I couldn’t make the indigo work for me, XL too big, L too tight in the waist. Sleeves an inch long. Are they likely to ride up with wear and creases?
-
@Richard I have or had the same issue with the sleeve. More like 2 inches. I am sure you will lose this inch when the ellbowcombs have settled.
-
New set of pictures. Still wearing it super frequently. Combs and „stacks“ seem to settle now which also shorten the sleeves quite signifiantly (which is a good thing)
-
Moving forward. Not as fast as the guys on the 19oz version, but I still love it.
-
@beef_bonanza looking great man. I’m loving these 14oz type 3s. I’ve been wearing my black/black version a lot lately. Not much evo yet on mine, but the comfort is through the roof and the fabric is starting mold nicely.
-
@beef_bonanza Looks awesome man, definitely turning nice and blue, which is ideal for OD in my opinion.
-
@beef_bonanza looking great!

Thank you guys. @Mizmazzle I can confirm, the nice drapping and how ridiculously soft it is now. It‘s just THE perfect weight for a denim jacket. Funnily enough I got enough comments from non-Iron Heart people how heavy this jacket was
-
@beef_bonanza that’s hilarious. When I first got mine I’d been so used to wearing exclusively the heaviest Iron Heart denims. I wondered to myself if I’d lost my hardcore edge. Haha.

Wore my jacket today while running errands today, and had someone stop me at Costco and ask about it. Dude was in total wonderment as to how soft the jacket is, yet he too commented about how heavy it is. I guess when you're used to store brand denim jackets, or even some newer Levis, Iron Heart at 14oz's is still a heavyweight for the uninitiated.
Sidenote, @beef_bonanza your jacket looks killer; I can't believe how blue it is, and the fades are incredible!! Mine is still holding onto it's original solid black color, so I've definitely got much work yet to do with it. Every time I wear it however, I still marvel at just how soft the fabric is; it's literally from a galaxy far, far away!!
-
@Nostradamion Thanks man. To be frank the colour is really different depending on the light and camera settings and super hard to capture accurately. While I am not saying this wasn't a rather "blue" day, there are also days and light where it appears more like a dull black and even the fades show minimum blue tones. If you check my previous pictures on this thread you'll see what I mean. However, this is really cool about it and I cannot wait so see how it progresses further.
@Mizmazzle I think we are all heavily biased by wearing too much Iron Heart. A lot of high quality stuff from other brands seems light to us even though it's pretty substantial compared to the stuff 99% of people are buying on highstreet.

Checking out OD Type III's and wonder how different the feel is between this 14oz and upcoming 19oz lefty OD restock. I have the indigo 19oz lefty, and it remains super crunchy. Tempted to go comfort first with the 14oz, despite knowing that the lefty will be significantly easier to wear as compared to the indigo version...
-
@beef_bonanza oooh yeah!!! Love this fade!!
-
@denim-dawg thanks man. Wearing it almost constantly lately. Pretty rewarding:

@beef_bonanza Whooo! Look at THAT! NICE NICE NICE
