A little bit of bucket hat inspiration for @Lynne - First, the golden tones of Jalen Ngonda!

@Jett129 It could possibly just be some looped visual footage to accompany the isolated recording?
Here's another isolated track with bass for one of the Stone Roses bigger hits, Fools Gold:
He's a great singer as well!

@Giles the documentary on her, "What Happened, Miss Simone?", is well worth tracking down.

@Giles speaking for me personally, they sound like something made in a lab to appeal to as many white people as possible.
Bland, yet saccharine.

@Giles I liked the first two albums a lot. They went downhill from there imo, and part of the reason I don’t listen to their newer stuff, besides the increasing blandness @mclaincausey mentioned, is Chris Martin coming across as an esoteric weirdo

There is possibly an element of tall poppy syndrome from people who don't like their music and cannot understand their popular success (aka Creed, Nickelback and Swift).
Or they don't like DHL.

Yeah U2 is insufferable. I think Achtung Baby was the last one I enjoyed at least a little and Joshua Tree was their pinnacle.
