@Alex u are not following .. I know XHS means extra heavy selvage e.g. 25oz. That is not what I am asking ..
After the fit number.. like 555S, what does S mean here?

In the very early days we did 2 jeans.

IH-634 and IH-634S - As @Alex says, the S stands for selvedge. As we grew and added more items to the range, we started having to try and describe the denim in the Lot Number.

      XHS - Extra Heavy Selvedge
      UHR - Ultra Heavy Raw
      SLB - Slubby
      19L - 19oz Lefty (Left Hand Twill)

We try and include an S after the model number (555, 666, 777 etc), but historically we were not that organised, so UHR jeans do not have an S after the model number despite the denim being Selvedge.

        It means Selvedge

If it has an S after the model number it is definitely Selvedge, if it doesn't, it may be selvedge (see above).....

And there’s no point updating this one as we did the UHR, or they would be the

@Giles .. that's more like it with subtle context and background. I thought it showed standard denim weight or anything less than 25oz or maybe 23oz. Models with S show standard denim weight from 14-21oz.

@Hamza-Yunus ... I know. I was the one that updated the SKU so that it was more in line with others on a recent production run

@Giles if it does not have an S, it is as much selvage as any other S-pair, unless it is a Duck canvas. I don't think IH makes non-selvage denim jeans at the moment. i am only talking about the listed jeans on the IH-UK webpage.

No. S just means selvedge, as we have said already.

There is inconsistency in the product numbers over time, for various reasons, but that is what it means. Has nothing to do with double twisted yarn

Now that you’ve had the IHJ-79 and IHJ-127 I’m wondering which pocket configuration you prefer?

@Giles I had an inkling that’s what you would say but glad you confirmed. I actually wish Haraki would design an updated IHV-44 with pockets similar to the 79. Maybe just one chest slash…or none.

I use it a lot for fishing, The outside vertical pocket openings are a dream for quick, don't-have-to-think-about-it and don't-have-to-open-the-main-zip-to-access-the-pocket, stowage of glasses, sunnies, phone etc etc

Luckily my dreams are being answered shortly 🙂
