Rum question. Been given this bottle of Skullduggery. I know it’s from Antigua but can’t find any information on this particular bottle. Any ideas ?
-
@Ian72 rad bottle! No idea, doesn’t seem to be a lot on the web. Let us know when you drink some!
-
@scooter A couple of years ago that was actually named Whiskey of the Year, and it was impossible to buy,so last year, when I was in Louisville,I had to try it. Paid $25 for a pour, and I was really disappointed. The price has, recently, dropped significantly in my neck of the woods, but I’ve passed on it. What did you think?
-
@pechelman is that a bottle of Appleton next to the Foursquare?
-
@Tago-Mago good eyes, it is. It's their signature blend; got a screaming deal on it, a 1.75L for a few dollars more than the standard .75L.
-
Any of you ever seen or heard of this or anything like it? @mclaincausey

Sounds a bit like the Oaxaca version of Charanda from Michoacan. If you like rhum agricole probably worth a try . Let us know how it is!
-
@pechelman I do like Rum,but for whatever reason,I don't tend to reach for it. This could possibly check a lot of boxes for me. Will report back if/when I have the opportunity to try it.
-
If you're into whiskey I would skip it to be honest @Jett129. Really just depends on what and how you like to drink it. If you're looking for making cocktails and already have a bunch of rum then this might be a fun change of pace. But if you like sipping on other brown spirits there are many other rums I'd say to get well before something like this.
-
@pechelman if I ain’t the mood for Whiskey, good high proof rum is always my next go to
-
@Jett129 Same deal.. Bourbon and Rye are my go-to, but I do like a good Anejo, especially a Mezcal, usually during warmer weather.
-
@Jett129 I don’t know that one but have one called Tso’ok that is great. Very funky and very sugar cane-y. Imported by the Cuantacuentos people.
I don’t like rum much but enjoy this one even if I haven’t found a use for it outside sipping.
