@68degreesorless pocket bag tears are my nemesis too. Look like they did a solid repair job. I'm impressed. Like @nrtphotos said, looks like they darned the torn part of the pocket bags. Wonder if they have to remove the whole pocket bag to do that??
I usually repair mine myself and just pull up the pocket bag to where its not shredded and resew the clean material to the pocket opening. My repairs are nowhere near as clean but I kind of like my home done repair look too.

I feel like I should know this but somehow I don’t.
I know these high quality denims we love are made to fade and do so because of indigo rope dying. This was how denim was made up though the 70s for the most part.However, main stream jeans from the mall or wherever, don’t fade like the niche brands we love. How are the threads indigo dyed on mainstream jeans? Why don’t they fade like ours? Does the dye used go all the way to the core keeping the color fast for a longer period?

Trying to ID this eBay pickup. Description said it was 10oz mock twist chambray. The only current offering I see is the “salt and cayenne,” but this has domed snaps and a blue/grey selvage ID. The stitching is all gold and the color is a very bright red, with an almost orange-y tint. Maybe a previous offering? Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

@caseyjonez I have seen this listing as well (or one quite similar) and was wondering the same. From the photos, it seems like a khaki duck chore coat, which is pretty fecking awesome. It would be even better as a brown or black duck OR dare I say double indigo duck chore coat. Radness overload. That is, if the coat in this listing is authentic.

@Oaktavia yea I agree on all points lol. A google search and on here and Reddit brings up nothing similar . FWIW it’s the same size and photos in all 69 of the Japan listings . So maybe a sample or one off or a fake. But I don’t see anything like it in other colors either . Like chore mechanics coat

I was looking at these the other day after a hint that there may be more chore coats on the way.
Personally (although I understand they are different beasts), I think these pale into insignificance compared to the spec of this earlier example (with maybe the exception of the cuffs):
This in indigo DD (@Oaktavia
), the new 21oz indigo serge, or anything else heavy would be the perfect winter chore coat.

@Mister_Brue my word that 17oz hickory is GLORIOUS! I would wear the feck outta that thang.
-
@Mister_Brue deng that hickory chore coat has some fantastic details: side entry pockets, bi-swing shoulders…

@flannel-slut
The best specced chore jacket I’ve seen.
Adjustable cuffs and a l/h pocket snap, and it’s perfect.
