OD is so darn cool.  I had to jump on this one.  I find 21oz now kinda', you know, normal.  14s are light and gotta go to 25oz to feel like I'm wearing heavy weight denim.

Every now and then you see a pair of jeans on someone,and they look like they were tailor made for them,well my 555-ODs right out of the bag fit like a glove. I mean absolutely perfect. I've wanted OD jeans for quite some time,and right now,I couldn't be happier. Pics to follow.

Okay mine at the UPS Store because we live so far out in the forest that the truck cannot get down the 450 meter drive in the winter…and today we are snowed in, full on blizzard (nothing unusual) so I will have to wait until tomorrow to pick up these jeans.  Dang.

But the silhouette looks tremendous. The pairing with those boots is just delicious. Pleased for you @Jett129

Thank you sir. I definitely have a hard time getting accurate color whenever I photograph denim,which is why I'm consistently in awe of the work that Sam does.

Thought I had done my due diligence when sizing these compared to my 555-01s, but could not come close to buttoning. Still love the OD denim and want to try again.

Did you size down or stay the same?

As far as evo goes the IH-634-B thread should give you some idea. The first OD model in the same denim as these. Have a look at the IH-526j-od thread too.

That’s what I would have done. Sounds like you were unlucky. The OD process will shrink even IH 21oz but in return it stretches out easily too. If the thighs and so on fit (and you still have them) you can try stretching the waist manually. It won’t take much.

I appreciate the insight. Sadly the thighs were super tight as well and generally just an uncomfortable experience. Might size up or might just hope another OD fit works

I am looking to get another pair of 555 since i love the fit of 555-03 and pulling between XHSib & OD this time.

However, i think… stitching on XHSib looks very flashy for my like. So my mind won over OD version. Any advise over that decision?

Therefore, i seeking some sizing advises for 555-01OD version. I like the fit of my 555-03 (32) except a bit snag at the moment due to a lot of "Working from Home" days. I am working on it to drop couple of kgs.

should is size down(tag size) for OD or go with similar measurements?

Great chart! If you're planning on losing some weight, coupled with the potential stretch you'll get from the 555-01od, sizing down may be an option.

Tag 33 has a pub'd waist of 85.6cm, with some consistent wear I'd be confident you'd get 3cm stretch out of them. We could likely find you one a touch larger than posted if you have any concerns.

Of course you'd need to be happy with slightly lower dims throughout.

current waist dimension  of 555-03 is 90cm
and following are the fit pic.
if i size down to 33, i am worry about the rise those won't stretch.

I don’t think you’ll want any smaller than that, even accounting for stretch.
