Damn, I Got Stopped at Security in Iron Heart…..

Quick story:
Flying back to England last week from my hometown of Augusta, GA….. after going through the x-ray machine in the security checkpoint, the TSA agent asks me to step aside for further inspection. I happen to see the screen that shows where the machine got a "hit", and it was on my left wrist, and right shoulder seam. They wave the wand over me, nothing. They look at the screen.... They pat me down, NOTHING. They ask me to go through again, and I do, and the machine "hits" at the same 2 places. I try to tell them that I'm wearing a seriously HEAVYWEIGHT t-shirt, but they ask me not to speak. Next I'm being escorted back to a screening room, where they ask me to take off my shirt so they can x-ray it.... 1-2mins later, they come back and tell me everything is ok, and I'm free to go.

My Wesco's got taken in on the way through Stockholm Arlandia. They had a discussion as to whether I'd be able to take them on board the plane or send them in the hold because of all the metal. Not had an issue with jeans yet. Definitely wearing my UHR's next time I fly though [emoji1]

I fly every week, and the full body scanners always pick up the pocket areas on my IH jeans - apparently the double layer of fabric is too 'thick' for them to be recognised as normal jeans [emoji3]
Fortunately this never requires anything more than the standard security 'pat down' and as tedious as that is, I've just accepted that it's a necessary part of the screening process to keep air travel safe. Of course I could choose to make my life easier by wearing non-IH jeans, but that's not going to happen [emoji2] -

I was at the tournament in 2009, and its etched in my memory forever. Couldn't find a weed on the property, it was awesome.
For an IH fan, this is like saying your hometown is Hachioji

I flew roundtrip from ABQ to Dallas wearing my SR's and was patted down at both airports. The two individuals who performed the security check said that the reason was probably my jeans. One was mumbling to himself, "These things are thick! They probably couldn't see through all these creases."

I got TSA pre-check for this reason. I fly like 20x a year. I also hike my pants up super high if I have to go through the portal. The worst is when I wear my overalls. xD

hmm not a problem for me… :-\ the stuff that i usually get pulled up for are belts, necklace etc.. usually metalworks. especially the samurai heavyweight belt with the huge buckle.
