IHSH-409-IB - 19oz Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo/Black

@dirtyframer No complaints from Sam

-
@Nick perfect that narrows my choice of sizing down
-
@Nick doesn’t he usually wear tag L on westerns and tees?
-
I have been waiting for this release for what seems like forever--literally since I missed out on the last drop. So pumped! (And extremely nervous)
-
@Alex that’s really good to know. I’ve definitely bought many a large western as it seems I’m a similar size to Sam. Definitely explains a few things on my end

-
@Nick hate to ask, but is that definitely an XL?
On the product pages for both 264 blue and purple, the 266, the 292 and 445 it says he is wearing large. I own 3 of those all in large and often look to see how an item fits Sam if he is the one modelling it as it usually works out well for my sizing.
I seem to remember him modelling the 399 which I own also in a size large
Measurements seem fairly typical for a CPO this run as well..

@Alex Yes - heat, especially high heat and steam on a heavy iron, actually makes the fibers expand - an old tailoring trick a guy at a shoppe told me in college when I was hemming pants.
It's especially impactful on UHFs, but denim weaves will 100% expand even after a wash with a good high quality iron job!
Bonus trick, iron the shirt inside out first to get any creases out, then iron on the face.
enjoy!

@AdamJ thank you for confirming

-
Going to try and get this as my first IH piece. I’m 5’7”, 170 pounds with a 39” chest. Would you guys recommend a large?
-
@Andrew0568 Your best bet is to measure an existing shirt that fits how you would want this piece to fit and compare to the size chart.
-
I actually wasn't going to go for this tomorrow... But I've spent this evening scrolling 500 pages on this thread, what an incredible job @Oaktavia did on the sample.
I think this will be my first denim CPO! I'm wearing my duck untucked CPO to prepare
-
@Jord #team_first_denim_CPO, and for me even first denim shirt

-
@Andrew0568 take a shirt that fits you well and measure it according to this. Then check the measurements against the size chart.
@goosehd has written an excellent piece on his approach to sizing which is well worth a read.
-
I can't believe I'm saying this but I may ask for a big p2p XL. I'll be trying on and measuring a few shirts tonight
-
Me personally, I’d stick with my normal CPO size and go with the 4XL. It has the smaller chest measurement and is a little slimmer through the waist. Even though the shoulders are listed at 22”, I don’t think the math works out to where the sleeves will actually feel that long. Looking at the rest of the measurements, I think it’ll wear pretty similar to my other 4XL CPOs.
-
What are the odds that a hot wash and potentially some hot dry time would shrink shoulders in this?
-
@northsouthdenimguy after measuring the untucked and the SExIH CPO they're both 24" p2p on the dot. Slightly big in the chest. So I think a 24" Western will fit well.
-
@dirtyframer it's not an overdyed piece so there will be "some" shrink to be had but per the website it's been sanforized and aggressively laundered to remove most already.
